Pierre Demery is a born-and-raised Los Angeles native, international backpacker, and now calls Seattle home. In order to distract himself from fears with fears, he binged horror movies as a child and fell in love with the genre, diving into the world of horror and never looking back.
Living in L.A. he was a dancer, circus performer, and actor- but it wasn’t until he joined a writing group that he fell in love with the craft. Since then, Pierre’s published works include the anthology Monster Boy and The Nightmare King, the interactive narrative Briar House, and the visual novel The Den Of The Beasts.

“I met Pierre when he joined my game-writing masterclass at The Narrative Department. It is a challenging course that asks A LOT of students, and not everybody rises to the challenge. But Pierre was extraordinary. He did the best thing a person can ever do for a teacher — he made the classroom a better place to be. He was 100% available and present for class discussions, and his insights were brilliant. It’s one thing to be a talented writer, which Pierre is to the nth degree. It’s another thing to be a talented writer and a wonderful collaborator, and Pierre is one of those rare gems. We were so lucky to have him as part of our community. I envy any studio that gets the opportunity to bring Pierre onto their team.”
“Pierre brought outstanding energy and an infectious enthusiasm to our team. He communicates clearly and effectively, consistently demonstrating professionalism as well as a warm, approachable style that makes collaboration a pleasure.
